Don’t Let Them Bite
Pest infestations can occur from all sorts of little creatures, even large creatures. The tiny ones tend to be the most appalling. The bugs, and insects are what most people fear the most and cannot stand to see inside their home. Bed bugs are one of the most infamous pests that a human can experience inside their home.
These tiny insects are very difficult to kill because they are so tiny and elusive. Bed bugs can hide themselves into very small cracks and spaces within your home, making them very difficult to find, and kill. They are also very good at evading different kinds of sprays and pesticides because they can sense it and stay clear of them. Not only are they able to hide easily, they are also much faster than people would expect.
Studies have shown that bed bugs are willing and able to travel up to 20 feet to get food and come back to where they nest. They also do the majority of their feeding at night, while you are asleep. These creatures are not a funny guest to have, and they are not easy to get rid of, so it is very important to know the signs of bed bug infestation as soon as possible.
What Are The Signs?
Check when cleaning, such as changing bedding, look for visible signs such as faded stains that are reddish in color. These stains are made from bed bugs being squashed between the mattress and the blood being squirt out. These drops are tiny and sometimes difficult to see so look closely. You may also find small dark spots from the bed bugs excrement which is left on the material of the sheets or mattress.
Another good sign is to find very tiny, 1mm eggs or eggshells laying around. These are yellowish in color and are can be left inside the bed, sheets, etc. Of course, if you see a bed bug then you know you got them! These tiny pests can cause great irritation and discomfort to you because of their bites.
By the way, that is another great sign! If you have bites, which look blotchy and similar to a rash, then it is definitely possible you have bed bugs in your home. If you suspect this then do not wait to contact a bed bug exterminator to come and take a look!
